Hawai’i Lions are celebrating community service. The public is invited to join us for family fun and to hear our story of what Lions do.  Admission is FREE.  We’ll have Live Entertainment, Free Games for the Keiki, and Activities for All.  Food & Beverages are for sale. Char-Su Productions is hosting the on grounds Craft Fair.

The Lions will also present & support 5 of their Global causes …this is what volunteering is about, giving back to the community. “Where there is a need, there is a Lion”.  The general public is encouraged to partake in the following:

  • Vision – Unwanted used eyeglasses will be collected.  Please bring with you!  Also, FREE Vision screening for the Keiki!
  • Hunger – Canned food donations are welcomed (no perishables) and will go to the Hawaii Food Bank.
  • Environmental – A park cleanup will enlist our Lions & LEO youth clubs, your Kokua is welcomed!
  • Diabetes – In support of combatting this disease, Lions will walk around the park.  Come with us, talk story and get some healthy exercise.
  • Childhood Cancer – Bring in a new unwrapped toy to be given out to Keiki cancer patients when they receive treatment.

Plus, we’ll have CPR/AED Trainers on hand teaching basic life-saving skill and usage of the automated external defibrillator.

The International Association of Lions Clubs, known for their motto “We Serve,” is prominently evident amongst Hawai`i Lions Clubs.  For almost 100 years, Hawai`i Lions statewide bring about many positive changes within our communities by implementing and completing service projects.  These help to improve and support a variety of efforts to sustain the livelihood of these communities.  The hard work of the Hawai`i Lions are undaunted.

Come join us to celebrate, have fun, and perhaps get involved.
